We collect only the information needed to operate the Service, respond to inquiries, and keep the community safe. This includes:

• Account information: username, email address, Discord ID, and any character names you create.
• Application data: the answers you submit when applying to join the server, including written roleplay examples and prior community experience.
• Communications: messages you send to staff via email, Discord, support tickets, or in-game reports.
• Gameplay data: in-game actions, chat logs, voice transcripts (where required for moderation), inventory state, and connection records.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and basic analytics about how the website is used.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use personal information to:

• Operate, secure, and improve the Service.
• Process whitelist applications and verify eligibility.
• Investigate rule violations, cheating, harassment, and other abuse.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

We process personal information on the basis of your consent (when you create an account or submit an application), the performance of our agreement with you (providing access to the Service), our legitimate interests (preventing fraud, abuse, and cheating), and compliance with applicable law.

We do not sell personal information. We share information only with:

• Service providers who help us run the community, including hosting providers, Discord, and analytics tools, under contractual confidentiality obligations.

6. Data Retention

We retain account and application data for as long as your account is active and for up to twenty-four months after closure for safety, moderation, and ban-evasion prevention. Gameplay and chat logs are typically retained for ninety days unless they are relevant to an open investigation or appeal, in which case they are preserved until the matter is resolved.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights email chris@gta6-roleplay.net. We respond within thirty days. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Children

The Service is intended for users aged sixteen and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under that age. If we become aware that a minor has provided personal information we will delete it promptly.

9. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, restricted access controls, and audit logging for privileged staff actions. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. International Transfers

Our infrastructure is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States your information will be transferred to, processed, and stored in the United States under appropriate safeguards.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced on the website and, where appropriate, by email or Discord notice. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
